Movie-in-the-Park and the Zoo

Alyssa and I had a fun-filled weekend starting Friday night with Brittni, Page and Paris at Mill Hollow Park where we watched Surf's up on an inflatable screen. Saturday, we went to the Hogle Zoo with Megan, Christene, Lauren and Alex. It was way hot, but the kids were troopers.

Is it Carey or is it Alyssa?

I found this photo as I was sorting through pics to take to my Girlfriends' Reunion next month... I knew Alyssa reminded me of my sister, but this picture kinda freaked me out...
And don't you love the beautiful wallpaper.... and my glasses...Had to be the early 80's...

Canyon Party

Here's some pics from our Ward Canyon Party at Washington Park (next to Mt. Dell golf course). The little girl in pink is Alyssa's friend Drew. They are so cute together. Alyssa loves Drew!! She says they are BFFs.

Scout Camp 2008

What could be better than a whole week of no moms telling you to brush your teeth, comb your hair, wash your hands and face or even shower?  For 12 & 13 yr old boys.... Nothing.

New York

Times Square Liberty Island
Canal Street

It's been over a week since Paul and I got back from New York. We had a fabulous time. We did everything we set out to do, although we could have spent 3 more days (shopping).

Fun with Grandma

We've been having a great time with Grandma this week. Zack and Paul have been at Scout camp, so it's just been us girls. We went to Gardner Village and Wheeler Farm, painted our tonails and toured Sweet's Candy Factory. Thank you Christina for inviting us to that! Alyssa has been wearing her "Candy Maker Hat"/hair net all day! We've been having so much fun, I don't want mom to go home...

Remembering....

My mom is still here from California. She was kind enough to take care of the kids while Paul and I went to New York. Today we headed down to Mapleton to clean the headstones of my grandparents and my dad. We put pinswheels around dad's headstone to represent his grandkids.

After, we went to visit my Grandma Gardner's baby brother and his wife , Uncle Randall and Aunt Pam in Lake Shore. He has been the family geneologist for years and I've never seen an octogenarian so computer literate. He checks his granddaughter's blogs everyday. How cool is that? He reminded me that I had done a website for my Grandpa Gardner when he passed away and that I hadn't yet done one for my Grandma. I started it tonight. There still a few more things to add, but here they are:

Gardner/Sumsion Family: If you have any pictures or memories of Grandpa or Grandma that you want included on that site, send them to me and I'll get them posted.
